Denise Zaporzan, FCPA, FCMA, BSP
Denise specializes in leading organizations through strategy, operational efficiencies, leadership, change and performance management.
She is a creative, business solutions and values based executive with over 25 years of general management, financial and strategic planning, operations and process management, human resource management, coaching, instructing, and facilitating experience across private and public sector industries.
Through active leadership, Denise has led strategic change in a number of aggressive settings; identifying all financial, process improvement, leadership and human capital requirements followed by an active involvement in the implementation and evaluation of the final strategies.
Denise is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and received the Fellowship (FCPA, FCMA) designation in 2010, the profession’s highest recognition of significant career achievements and contributions to community. She received her Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) certification through George Washington University, and furthered her studies with Harvard authors Kaplan and Norton in 2014. She has moderated for the CPA Manitoba Strategic Leadership Program and the I.H. Asper School of Business Executive Education program, and is a past instructor for the University of Manitoba as well as a business coach and judge for business case competitions. In addition, Denise speaks regularly at conferences across North America on the subject of strategy, leadership, and multi-generational realities.
Denise is currently a board director and recruitment committee chair for The Associates (Asper School of Business), a board member for Economic Development Winnipeg, and an advisory board member for MATCH Winnipeg International Women’s Fund (the Equality Fund). She is a past board director and member of the audit committee for the Canadian Cancer Society, past United Way Winnipeg committee member, past board member of a start-up pharmaceutical company, and past board member and gala chair for the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
